The Formerly Tragic Tales of Trescrie is a fantasy webcomic by Zoe Maxine. Currently being published is the 1st Tale, The Baron & His Children, which follows siblings Melisa and Mortimer Merymond as they navigate their father’s negligence and the strange book that shows them a tragic future.
Trescrie is heavily inspired by Romance Fantasy webcomics and webtoons, however, it is not itself a romance, though some characters have romantic relationships with each other. Many of the tales feature LGBTQ+ characters and themes. I hope if you’re familiar with the kinds of stories that it’s inspired by that you find it a refreshing take, and if you’re not familiar you like the story regardless.
