The next page shows a strange house with a castle-like extension, in a place with trees and mountains in the background. The knight turned Baron from the previous page is there, wearing a suit and embracing a dark-skinned woman and a baby. Text: “The new Baron settled down with a wife, and soon they had a daughter.
Next page, the Baron sits at a desk while looking at swords hanging along the wall. Text: “But those peaceful days only made the knight long for the slaughter.”. The word ‘long’ has been separated, isolated between the rest.
Next page, He sternly looks away from his wife, who gestures to their crying baby in her crib. Text: “Discord grew in their home as the Baron neglected his child and his wife.”
Next page, he holds his baby in one arm and points away from him with his other arm. With a bag in each hand, his wife walks away from him. “Until the day his temper won and he made his beloved leave his life.”
Next page, he looks sadly at a ring in his hand as behind him, his baby wails “WAH” from her crib, covering most of the page. Text: “Regret came swiftly but no apologies came from a man who valued his pride.”
